Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo during the healing process.
Remove the bandage within 2 hours. Do not re-bandage.
With clean hands, wash your tattoo gently using an antibacterial soap.
Pat dry with a clean cloth or paper towel—do not rub.
First 3–4 Days:
Apply a very thin layer of ointment (we recommend Aquaphor). Rub it in until it is absorbed; the tattoo should not look shiny or greasy. If you can wipe anything off, you’ve applied too much. Excess ointment can slow healing. Apply only as needed.
Try not to sleep directly on your tattoo the first night to avoid sticking to your sheets. If it does stick, use warm water to gently loosen the fabric.
Wear clean, soft clothing for the first 2 weeks—avoid anything abrasive or irritating.
For foot tattoos: go barefoot as much as possible or wear shoes with an open top. Avoid sandals or flip-flops to prevent rubbing and damage.
After a Few Days:
Your tattoo will begin to peel—this is normal. Do not pick at the skin.
Switch to a mild, white, unscented lotion free of dyes and perfumes. Use as needed for 2 weeks or until healed.
Tattoos generally heal within 2–3 weeks, but this can vary.
Do not pick, scratch, or irritate the tattoo.
Important Reminders:
Showers are fine, but do not soak your tattoo until it is fully healed. Avoid swimming, hot tubs, or baths.
Avoid sun exposure for at least 3 weeks. After that, use sunscreen to protect your tattoo and help preserve its color.
